As cliché as it sounds, I want to tell you a story about a girl’s childhood dream.
Ever since she learned to read, the little girl built a magical world through her imagination from travel books. One day she met a traveler who had traveled to the “magical places” . He shared his stories and planted a dream into this young child’s heart. The ten-year-old from a small town in China, began to save 5 cents a month to be a world traveler.
Ten years after, she made it to New York City, where now she calls home. She has since started to set her footprints on 5 continents, 31 countries, 187 cities.
It hasn’t been the easiest journey. She was lost in the middle of desert with donkeys. She lost control of the car on an ice covered slope next to a frozen lake. She dropped a 10 pound weight belt at 120 feet deep while the ocean bottom lay 7000 feet below. But what can replace the exhilarating feeling of swimming with 30 sharks before dawn in north shore Hawaii, the stunning sight of overlooking “Rose City” Petra, the beautiful art to the Sistine’s Chapel, and the touching conversation with the kids in Cambodia, who were extremely poor but so hopeful and longing for a bright future, just like she did a few years ago?
This blog is to document her travel stories and photography.
She welcomes feedback, comments, and new friends.
We only live once. Follow your dream before it’s too late.
